This winter, DABAI Snow Club will bring familiar ski resort stories to the heart of The Hague.

From December 18th to 20th, 2026, Big White has been invited to participate in Snowfest The Hague 2026 and will have a tent booth at the Snow Village. For a community of ski enthusiasts who have slowly come together, this is not just an ordinary appearance, but an opportunity to tell more people "who we are, how we ski, and why we are together".

Snowfest is a major winter sports event in The Hague, which also hosts the annual Rock A Rail Tour finals. Top snowboarders and skiers from various countries will gather in The Hague to present high-level street skiing competitions. For spectators, this is a great opportunity to experience the atmosphere of an international competition up close. For DaBai, this is a special moment showcasing the skiing life of the Chinese community in the Netherlands and Europe.

This time, we don't want just a few people deciding what the stall should look like behind closed doors. We hope more friends will contribute ideas and get involved, so that this little tent truly embodies the warmth of Baymax.

Why was this Snowfest so special for DABAI?

DABAI isn't just a name that exists only within ski trips. It's more like an entry point, allowing people in the Netherlands to find partners to ski together, practice, chat, carpool, and share equipment experiences.

Many people encounter various minor problems when skiing in Europe for the first time.

How to choose a ski resort?

How should one get started with single-ply and double-ply boards?

Can I go even if I don't have a car?

The Netherlands doesn't usually have high mountains, so where does the enthusiasm for skiing come from?

Wouldn't it be awkward if I registered alone?

These seemingly trivial questions are precisely the meaning of the community's existence. Some people have shared their first fall in a skiing competition, some have documented their first successful edge change, some have skied all the way from indoor ski resorts to the Alps, and some simply enjoy going to see the snow with everyone in winter.

Snowfest gave us a chance to reach a wider audience. People passing by the tents might not be familiar with the Chinese skiing community, or they might not know that there are so many people in the Netherlands who love winter sports. We can use photos, stories, interactions, and laughter to show them that skiing isn't just for distant snow-capped mountains; it can also start with a group of friends making a date.

What kind of booth do we want to make?

Tent space may be limited, but the expression can be rich. A good booth doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. It needs to be clear, interesting, and make people want to stop.

We hope to present a few things on site.

It makes it immediately clear who we are.

Passersby may not read a long introduction. Perhaps a group photo on the slopes, a simple display board, or a few stories about members are enough to make it clear that this is a community about skiing, friendship, and European life.

It allows people from different backgrounds to participate.

Snowfest's audience comes from diverse age groups, linguistic backgrounds, and cultural contexts. Booths should ideally cater to more than just those who speak Chinese and ski. A fun little game, a photo spot, or an interactive wall asking "Which snow mountain would you like to visit?" can all draw strangers closer.

This allows members of the "DABAI" team to see themselves in the game.

This presentation isn't just a pretty show for outsiders. It should retain a sense of authenticity. For example, photos of first-time skiers, fun stories from the slopes, different members' understanding of skiing, and memories of organizing activities in the Netherlands. This kind of content is more vibrant than a uniform arrangement.

The part that needs everyone's participation most now

Setting up a booth sounds like a huge undertaking. But it can actually be broken down into many smaller tasks. Some people are good at design, some are good at photography, some can do crafts, some can write copy, some can connect people with resources, and some can even come and help out at the booth on the day. Every kind of support is valuable.

Creative ideas

The first thing a booth needs is an idea. We can discuss it together:

  • What content best represents DABAI?

  • Which display methods will make passersby stop?

  • Are there any interactive elements suitable for audiences of different ages?

  • How to talk about the "Chinese skiing community" in a natural and interesting way

  • How can we make this joy accessible to people who can't ski?

An idea doesn't need to be complete from the start. It could be just a visual, a mini-game, a slogan, or a pose for a photo—all of these could become part of the final design.

Booth Design and Layout

The tents at Snow Village will be small spaces. Small spaces make the choice of tents even more crucial.

We can consider how to design the display wall, how to arrange the photos, and whether we need to decorate it with snowboards, goggles, helmets, or small props. How much space should be left in the interactive area? Where would passersby feel most comfortable standing? How can volunteers provide information without blocking pedestrians?

If you have skills in graphic design, handicrafts, interior design, illustration, photography, layout, or simply a knack for arranging things attractively, you are very welcome to join us.

Live Interaction

Good interaction doesn't need complicated rules. It should be easy for people to understand, make them willing to try it, and leave them with a lasting impression.

Possible directions include:

  • Skiing trivia

  • Ski Resort Destination Voting Wall

  • My First Skiing Experience Message Card

  • Small props area suitable for taking photos

  • Simple balance or posture challenges

  • Winter coloring or sticker activities for children

We also hope that the interaction goes beyond just being "fun." If it can also let the audience know the stories of Asian faces on European ski slopes, and how the Big White members continue their passion for skiing in the Netherlands, that would be even better.

Content recording is also important

After an event ends, the booths will be taken down and the decorations will be packed away, but the photos, videos, and stories can remain.

We also need team members willing to participate in content recording this time. This could be organizing member photos before the event, interviewing a few members to write short stories, or capturing footage from the event day. Mobile phone photography is fine too; the key is to capture authentic moments.

for example:

  • The process of volunteers setting up tents

  • Passerby's reaction to the interaction

  • The expressions of the members when introducing Baymax

  • The winter sports atmosphere brought by Rock A Rail Tour

  • A scene of everyone cleaning up together after the event.

These records will help more people who couldn't attend the event to experience it, and will also become a precious memory in DaBai's growth process.

You can participate even if you are not in The Hague

This invitation isn't just for those who can attend in person. Baymax's appearance at Snowfest 2026, inviting you to help create a tent booth in The Hague's snow village, doesn't mean everyone has to be in The Hague from December 18th to 20th.

If you're not in the Netherlands, or unavailable on the day of the event, you can still participate in the pre-event preparations. This includes providing design suggestions remotely, helping to refine the English and Chinese introductions, sharing past skiing photos, contributing event ideas, introducing friends willing to support materials, or joining an online brainstorming session.

The power of a community often doesn't come from a single major contribution, but from many people each contributing a little bit of their time. A few hours of help, a heartfelt story, a meaningful photo—these can all make a booth more complete.

We also welcome resources and collaborations.

If you have experience in design, production, or event organization, feel free to share.

If you know anyone who would like to provide materials, display supplies, or sponsorship, please feel free to introduce them.

If you have experience organizing markets, festivals, sporting events, or community booths, your experience will be very helpful.

We will try our best to make the preparation process clear, easy, and participatory. Different people can join according to their own time and ability; no formal event experience is required, nor is it necessary to follow along from beginning to end. The important thing is that everyone works together to turn ideas into something tangible.

Let's turn this little tent into Baymax's window.

DaBay has always been a community built up gradually through everyone's participation. Some organize, some sign up, some mentor newcomers, some take photos, some share tips, and some simply bring a great atmosphere whenever they show up. It is because of these different ways of participation that DaBay has become what it is today.

The same applies to Snowfest The Hague 2026. We hope this tent isn't just a one-way display, but a collaborative creation. It can feature ski resort photos, as well as member stories; it can include games kids would enjoy, and details that would make ski enthusiasts want to stop and relax; it can introduce passersby to Baymax, and also allow Baymax members to rediscover the loveliness of this community.

If you are interested in this event, would like to join the volunteer preparation team, or simply have an idea you'd like to share, please email info@dabaisnowclub.com .

Let's brainstorm together, plan together, and record together, turning this little tent in The Hague Snow Village into a winter showcase that belongs to Big White and all skiing enthusiasts.
