It is still somewhat difficult to believe.
Following the conclusion of the first BangBangHua event of 2026, the Dutch Ski Association (NSkiV) published a dedicated article on its official website highlighting the initiative and the work of Dabai Snow Club.
This was not merely a passing mention, but a full feature dedicated to BangBangHua and its mission.

For a ski club serving primarily the Chinese community in the Netherlands, this recognition carries significant meaning.
Although the Netherlands is not traditionally associated with alpine environments, it has a well-established winter sports ecosystem, supported by robust standards in areas such as event management, safety, instructor development, and community engagement.
Dabai Snow Club was honoured to receive support through NSkiV's Sport Stimulation Fund, a process that required careful planning and the successful completion of multiple stages of assessment. This support enabled us to further our commitment to making winter sports more accessible by offering professionally delivered programmes designed to accommodate participants of varying experience levels.
To have these efforts subsequently acknowledged and shared through an official NSkiV publication is a meaningful endorsement of the work that has been undertaken by our team and community.
It affirms that Dabai Snow Club represents more than a recreational gathering of individuals who share a passion for skiing and snowboarding.
We are equally committed to introducing newcomers to winter sports, promoting safe and responsible participation, and fostering an inclusive community in which individuals can learn, develop, and connect.
As an organisation composed largely of members from international and Chinese backgrounds, receiving recognition within an established local sporting framework often requires additional perseverance. Building trust across languages, cultures, and different approaches to community organisation is a gradual process that demands consistency and dedication.
Over time, Dabai Snow Club has continued to evolve.
From a small group of volunteers united by a shared enthusiasm for winter sports, we have grown into a community supported by passionate members, dedicated instructors, and countless individuals who have contributed their time and expertise. From organising introductory programmes to supporting instructor development and strengthening community connections, each step has shaped who we are today.
For us, this recognition extends beyond the success of a single event.
It reflects the value of sustained community-building efforts and demonstrates that initiatives led by the Chinese community can make a meaningful contribution to the wider winter sports landscape in the Netherlands.
While this may not be considered a landmark achievement on a national scale, it holds profound significance for those who have devoted themselves to expanding access to winter sports and creating opportunities for others to participate.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who took part in BangBangHua. Your enthusiasm, trust, and support have played an essential role in making this initiative possible.
Finally, we would like to thank NSkiV for recognising and sharing our story.
We remain committed to our mission of making winter sports more accessible, fostering a welcoming and inclusive community, and contributing positively to the continued development of snow sports in the Netherlands.

Dabai Snow Club is deeply honoured by this recognition, and we look forward to continuing this journey together.
